Eward Kelly Obituary

Edward Patrick "Rick" Kelly, Jr., 66, of Finksburg, MD passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Wellspan York Hospital in York, PA. Born November 21, 1957 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Patrick "Pat" Kelly, Sr. and Frances Elizabeth (née Allen) Kelly. He was the husband of Patricia Ann (née Sokoloski) Kelly. For over 30 years, Rick owned and operated a tree service, JR & SR Contracting Tree & Stump Removal. Prior to his retirement in 2022, he had been a supervisor of public works for Baltimore County. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Glyndon Catholic Church in Reisterstown, MD. He enjoyed hunting, boating, reading, and camping on the Eastern Shore. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Ann Gill and Guy Kenneth Gill III of Reisterstown, Vicky Lynn Lemmon and Kendall Lee Lemmon of Manchester, MD; grandchildren and their spouses, Eric Kenneth and Kristen Gill, Ashley Lee Gill, Bryan Adam and Shelby Gill, Kyle Linwood and Nicole Lemmon; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Ellison, Maisey, Henry, Blakely, and Kashton; sister and brother-in-law, Theresa Marie Branham and John Seth Branham of Finksburg; niece, Nicole Marie Holland and her husband Ryan Holland; nephew, Patrick Seth Branham; and great-niece, Marleigh Branham. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial prayer service at 1:00 p.m. at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 2901 Bloom Road, Finksburg. Following the memorial service, a luncheon will be served at the funeral home.
