I was thinking the other day about Skip McKee. I had the pleasure to serving with him as a juvenile master in Prince George“s County Maryland. He later was nominated both a district and circuit court judge where he distinguished himself as a terrific Judge with a reputation of fairness, compassion and possessing a listening. Litigants and lawyers appearing before him always were treated with respect and dignity. He was smart, fair, always prepared and worked hard to get it right. Judge McKee was among the finest jurist in the state of Maryland.

Judge Mckee
always a Marine, always a fair judge with a twinkle in his eye who had a gift for establishing fair procedures. He brought those wonderful gifts to the 7th Circuit.
My condolences to his family and many friends.

Judge McKee was an inspiration. Always straightforward, he was a good lawyer and a fair and wise judge. He knew how to cut through the fog and focus on the real issue. I will miss him and remember him with great fondness and respect.

I met Skip when I first began practising law in 1974. Whether in private practice, or as a judge, he was a gentleman who never lost his wry sense of humor, nor the wisdom to know what was right. Condolences to the family on your loss.
