I have many fond memories of visits with Mary- she is mine and my twins (Laurie Broadbent) Godmother. We are blessed to have been named in honor of her and her sister Ann. We love listening to our mother tells stories of the adventures her and Mary had when they were young. She was a wonderful person and is now a beautiful angel. Condolences to her family.

We had the great pleasure of introducing Mary and the Sullivans to New Orleans when Peter married our daughter, Katya. The spicy food and “sauna-like” weather were quite the topics of conversation but we appreciated Mary’s adventurous spirit - even when confronted with mounds of steaming crawfish! Over the years on our trips to New Hampshire, we always tried to visit “Aunty Mary.” We thoroughly enjoyed our treks to the Boston area with her and will always remember her laugh. She will remain part of our heart.

Mary always had a warm welcome and was a gracious host. We enjoyed many delightful dinners and holiday celebrations around her dining room table. Growing up I remember visiting every Friday night, watching TV while our parents played whist. Mary was also a wonderful cousin and friend. With loving memories and sincere sympathy to the Sullivan family.

So sad to get the news of Mary's passing. Mary's mum and my dad were brother and sister.
Kitty went to the United States, my dad stayed in Ireland. (John....Ballyspillane, Midleton, in Cork.)
She was such a gracious host on my trips to the States, and we were delighted to welcome her and Kitty to Ireland too.
She was always so welcoming and nothing was any trouble to her.
I so enjoyed our chats on politics in particular....it didn't take much to wind her up on the politicians of the day. She was forceful in her views as she was when it came to her faith. (A privilege to offer Mass there.)
There were no half measures.
Thanks Mary for all the chats and the laughs and for keeping in touch. I have so many happy memories.
Thanks to Buddy for looking after her and to her nephews and niece. She always filled me in on your progress in life, she was always so proud of you.
To Buddy, Peter & Katya, Kathleen & Jeff, Kevin, Michael & Sara & Theodore.... I send my sincere sympathy.
In the words of Mary....'you take care.'
Rest in the Lord now Mary with Anne and your mum Kitty, and dad Michael.

On behalf of my mother Mary, myself and my brother John and our families (family of the late Sean Fitzgerald Ballyspillane) we offer our condolences to Mary’s family in Boston and New Hampshire. Lovely memories of Mary and Kitty in Ballyspillane and when I visited Boston for her lovely dinner parties. May Mary rest in peace.
