Shirley M. Weber (née Teafoe), 85, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 31, 1936 in Vulcan, Michigan to Omer and Elvira Teafoe (Camerier).
Shirley's family moved to St. Charles, IL in her youth, where she attended St. Patrick's Catholic grade school and St. Charles High School Class of 1954, where she was active in the Girls Athletic Assn. Shirley attended St. Joseph Mercy Hospital School of Radiological Technology and began working as an X-ray technician, where she was the alumnae association president. Shirley met Ted Weber at the hospital and they wed in 1958. Together they raised their family of five children through St. Rita of Cascia Catholic grammar school where Shirley was very active in the Home & School association, the parish as an extra ordinary minister, bingo and other fundraisers. After raising her own children, Shirley took great pride in her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Weber; her children Ted (Linda) Weber, Tom Weber, Michele (Eric) Smith, Michael (Amy) Weber and Tim (Laura) Weber; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; her brother Jerome (Margaret) Teafoe; and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Rev. Joseph Teafoe.
Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Monday, August 16, 2021 at 9:30am to Annunciation Church at 10:00am. Fr. Patrick Gillemeyer, OSB will officiate with interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva, IL.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm with a liturgical wake service at 2:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-631-5500. Please visit our website at www.daleidenmortuary.com where you may leave condolences for Shirley's family.
