Richard Van Ostrand Obituary

Richard (Rick) E. VanOstrand Jr. Passed away suddenly June 25th, 2025 at the age of 69. He is the son of Richard Sr. and Eva (Davenport) VanOstrand. Rick was a quiet person that kept to himself but always showed up when it was most important for his family. His talents were in bowling, baseball, hunting and fishing. He learned those from his father and made sure they were passed on to his sons. Rick graduated from Ithaca High School and recently retired from Therm Inc after 40+ yrs. He leaves behind his wife Heidi (St Clair) and most importantly his sons Zachery and Tyler (Victoria) and grandchildren Alden and Eva. He is also survived by several sister-in-laws & brothers-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Rick was predeceased by both his parents and his sister Diana Martak. I´m so sorry for your heartbreaking loss. Rick was a great friend, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. I will always remember his kindness and generosity. I send my deepest sympathies to his family and friends. Rest in eternal peace Rick, you are missed.
