Sylvia Botell Obituary

BOTELL Sylvia née Croucher of Churt in the county of Surrey, aged 97 years and called 'Sue' by some, died in the early morning of February 20th at Barton House Care Home in Dawlish. She was the beloved wife of Eric (deceased), beloved mother of Ruth, Melanie and Nigel by former marriage to Dennis 'Dick' Barton Met police detective (deceased), brother to Ted and granny to Eliot, Ella, Lina, Tony, Matthew, Oisin, Louise, Theo, Esme, Simon, Jasmin & Oscar. A former nurse, catering manager, Tupperware agent, market researcher, Chamber of Commerce secretary (Lewisham), medical secretary (Chineham), hotelier, retiree, cake decorator, gardener & camper van enthusiast, she retired to Dawlish where she was a stalwart of Ladies' Guild, the Garden Society and Dawlish museum volunteer. She will be greatly missed by all. Funeral proceedings will be in private.
