I was very sad to hear of Robin´s passing. I have fond memories of the times we knew each other in our teens when we both lived in St Paul´s Cray and were in the choir together at St. Barnabas Church. We would stack Buddy Holly EPs on Robins´ parents radiogram on Saturday mornings whilst babysitting his sister. We went on a camping trip together to Scotland in the Summer of 1962 and enjoyed trekking in the Cairngorms and dolphin watching on the Moray Firth. I was first made aware of Robin´s latent artistic skills when he would draw caricatures of visiting preachers and the church congregation during the Sunday sermons. I remember accompanying Robin when we travelled together to London for his interview at the commercial art studio he joined for his first job. We lost contact shortly afterwards, but I kept pace with his subsequent career and purchased several of his delightful books. My kind thoughts are with Robins family at this very sad time.
