Joyce, Len and family: Your mom was a true Hegewisch treasure! To think of all the generations of children she greeted and safely crossed through that busy intersection for so many years! I don't think she missed a day! Even as she aged, she trudged through snow and rain to her post. It seemed it was more than a job, it was her calling! She was special for sure. I know I will never forget her. I hope you will find comfort in knowing how many lives she touched, those you know and many you never will. God bless you all.

DEAR JOYCE AND FAMILY,
I KNOW HOW DEEPLY YOU WILL MISS YOUR MOTHER. IT WAS A REAL BLESSING THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO SHOW HER HOW MUCH YOU LOVED HER BY WHAT GREAT CARE YOU TOOK OF HER. SHE WAS THE HARDEST WORKING WOMAN I KNOW. EVERYTHING SHE WORKED FOR WAS FOR HER KIDS. SHE NEVER TREATED US DIFFERENTLY BECAUSE WE WERE A LITTLE ON THE "WILD" SIDE AND EVEN MY DAD LIKED HER!! SHE NOT ONLY LED A LONG LIFE, SHE LED A GOOD ONE. SHE IS A GREAT EXAMPLE FOR US IN SELFLESSNESS. I AM SURE SHE IS WITH JESUS NOW. MY PRAYERS AND SYMPATHIES ARE WITH YOUR FAMILY. YOUR LOVE FOR HER AND EACH OTHER WILL DO HONOR TO HER MEMORY AND KEEP HER AND YOUR FATHER'S LEAGACY ALIVE. BEV.
