Silva, Sandra L. Delson

Sandra Leah Delson Silva, age 72, passed away on January 2, 2021, after a sudden (non-Covid) illness. She was the dear daughter of the late Norman and Sara Delson; loving mother of two daughters, including Janelle; cherished grandmother of Sara; beloved sister of Abbé and Susan, and sister-in-law to Jeffrey; and dear aunt of Max. Sandy was committed to healthcare for elders through her business, Senior Options Consulting, and to patient activism and research in sarcoidosis. She was active with the East Lakeview Chamber of Commerce and the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts. A lifelong Democrat, Sandy supported progressive causes and was an election worker for many years. She had a wide circle of friends, and took pleasure in studying piano and learning Hebrew. With the American Friends of Israel War Disabled Foundation, Sandy enjoyed welcoming visitors from Israel every year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Maot Chitim of Greater Chicago. A memorial will be held at a later date. For information about shiva, please contact anunez@ansheemet.org.
