Wicklander, Rose Lynn (nee Chaplick) Age 67, of Western Springs, passed away May 8, 2019. Beloved wife of James W. Wicklander; loving mother of Emily (Brian Kosisky) Whitaker and Lauren (Graham) Catlin; wonderful stepmother of William (Kathryn) Wicklander, Joseph (Kelly) Wicklander, Kathryn (Jason) Zurawski; cherished Grandma to Mackenzie Whitaker, Ashley and Elise Wicklander, Gwendolyn and Owen Catlin and Abigail Zurawski; dear aunt to Michael and Brian Rehmer; and preceded in death by her treasured sister and absolute best friend, Terese Rehmer. Rose Lynn grew up in Maywood, IL, attending Nazareth Academy, later University of Illinois and eventually University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for her MBA. Family was extremely important to Rose Lynn and she always found a way to get everyone together. Her kids, grandkids and her dog, Stella were her everything and she was happiest when everyone was smiling and having fun. Her love of adventure and zest for life took precedence. Whether it was new restaurants, a pottery shop off a nearby dirt road or even a family trip to the beach or to Italy, Rose Lynn was always willing to experience all that life had to offer. Rose Lynn always went out of her way to make everyone feel special and important. Everyone was always welcome in her home and was met with absolute grace, love, and laughter. She never met someone she didn't like and gained a lot of friends along the way. Everyone that met her came away smiling. Besides being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Rose Lynn also spent her entire career in the marketing business; most recently as owner and President of a lettershop located in Chicago. Her love of life and relaxing approach to all of life's challenges will be sorely missed but remembered forever. Interment will be held privately. Her Celebration of Life information to follow. Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home. (708) 352-6500 or hjfunerals.com.

My condolences to everyone -- her family and friends. We are all sad to see Rose Lynn gone from our temporal lives, but she now lives forever. Everything about Rose Lynn was special -- I loved to listen to whatever the conversation might be about. I miss your sister Terese so much, and I will miss the times when we were all together. Now, we just move on, one foot in front of the other, but with great memories in our hearts and minds and a loving God to guide us.
Blessings and love, Karen Begg

I add my voice to the others here in remembering Rose Lynn's generosity of spirit, love and pride in family, sense of humor, and positive outlook. She and I became friends through business. I loved working with her and playing golf with her. She was one of a kind, and the world is better for her having been with us. She will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear the news of Rose Lynn's passing. She started out as our vendor when we worked with 3XData and she became a friend. She was so great at her job, we always sent her the most painful and complicated jobs because trusted her so very much. Her attention to detail was unparalleled. She was everything you say...warm, welcoming, generous. Please accept my deepest sympathies. She will be missed.

Rose Lynn was a great co-worker and business person. She loved helping her clients at Precision Marketing and often had a personal relationship with them.
She was always curious and loved schemes and ideas. When we came across the fact that individuals could own 1-800 phone numbers, she decided to buy 1-800-DOG-LOVE. She knew people loved their pets and figured she'd lock down the number now and figure out how to turn it into a business later. Many years later we were talking and she mentioned still owning that number. Just never found the business concept to go with it.
She was detail oriented and knew the whole picture mattered. Take the time to check out her business' website (www.3xdata.com) and see how her touch got everything just right. I especially love how she got such great numbers for her phone and fax. I can imagine hear her on the phone with a rep nudging them to get her the best possible pair of numbers.
Lastly I hear the laugh; what a laugh. She couldn't stop laughing when she told me her company was 3x because they triple check everything and I responded it was X-rated ("XXX").

I was in a few classes with Rose during our years at Nazareth. Also student council and yearbook. Rose was always so sweet and a lot of fun. As a lymphoma survivor myself I know her pain. Prayers to her family.
