Aunt Lorraine was always my favorite aunt. Many years ago I rescued a gold fish from being swallowed at a party bringing him home in a bowl I brought an appetizer in. Aunt Lorraine called the next morning to speak with her sister (my mother) and I told her the story about the fish and that I was going to name it "aunt lorraine". The fish lived several years in a bowl in my room and provided many jokes and teasing. Aunt Lorraine visited my mother everyday when she had a stroke. They looked alike and had a toughness with underlying tenderness but I will always remember Aunt Lorraine's great sense of humor and love and loyalty to family. She will be greatly missed.
