Edward J. Ficek, age 89 U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Loving husband of 66 years to Rosemary nee Gwadz Devoted dad of Mark (Janice), Kurt (Mary Margaret), Carl (Eileen) and Judy Ficek. Proud grandpa of Jessica, Steven, Eric, Heather, Jeremy and Aubrey. Great grandpa of 4. Fond brother of the late Helen (late Harry) Bender and the late Joseph (late Anna) Ficek. Loving brother-in-law of the late Virginia (late Don) Parrett. Uncle and friend of many. Edward was a long time millwright and proud member of the carpenters union Millwright Local 1693 for over 40 years. Visitation will be held at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 S. Harlem Ave, Worth, IL. on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Family and Friends will gather 7:15 PM to pray the Holy Rosary. Chapel prayers 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 9, 2021 followed by 9:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of the Ridge Church, 108 th and Oxford, Chicago Ridge, IL.
