I couldn´t sleep and was browsing Flint people I grew up with. I was shocked to see Susie´s obituary. I wondered what was the cause of her death. She looked so much like her mom. They were both beautiful women.

I was about to email Susie to reconnect because it had been so long. I am still trying to process this. I am so sad. No matter that we flew in and out of each other's lives, you were a lovely presence in my life and I miss you dearly,
Susie.

Susie was a dear friend of mine from college. We were roommates and very close friends for years after that. I am just finding out about this and am so shocked and saddened. I loved the way Susie danced to her own beat. It was so unique and wonderful. She was truly a free spirit and the world was better off for having her in it. RIP Susie ❤

Barry-
Doug and I and the rest of our family send our deepest condolences to you and to Jaime over your loss.
Susie was a very independent-minded and strong person, who combined her own nonconformist and courageous way of living with deep love of her family and devotion to her clients and friends. She will be sorely missed.
My partner Valentina now teaches at Amherst College in Amherst, MA, so she and I are in New England most of the time now and only make it back to Chicago/Evanston infrequently, but feel free to reach out to me at any time. Losing one's wife is an experience I've been through (and wouldn't wish on anyone), and I'm familiar with the pain that never quite goes away,
Blessings on you and your family.
