One of Chicago's finest for so many reasons. As a member of The CPD or volunteering many hours of his time to the football players at Taft HS he changed the lives of so many people. Heaven will be a better place with your presence.

To the Pizza family,
I knew and cherished my years of playing golf with Mike, Dan Antzoulatos and Jack Grimes. Mike was a great golfer. He always amazed me by the way he played. He was also a very loving and kind person. There is a new star shining in the sky. God Bless

Mike Pizza was a volunteer football coach for more than 35 years at Taft High School. I played on the 1972 team which won the city public league championship. Coach Pizza's dedication and volunteerism to Taft was extraordinary. He was not only a integral part in our success as a team, but he was their to teach us how to become well rounded men and prepare us for our challenges in life. Some of us had the pleasure to reconnect with him recently. It was such a pleasure visiting with him and reminiscing about our fond memories in our successes on the football field and our accomplishments in life Coach Pizza was awarded with a Hall of Fame plaque for his coaching in the 1965 team and the 1972 team. I will always have fond memories of him and the knowledge he gave me to overcome challenges in life.
God Bless Coach Pizza May he RIP
