McAvoy, Diane Marie (nee O'Connell), Age 73, of Frankfort formerly of Mokena, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. Diane is survived by her loving family; husband, Thomas McAvoy; children, Dawn McAvoy, Michelle McAvoy, Shawn (Sheryl) McAvoy, Scott McAvoy and Tracey McAvoy; grandchildren, Jeremiah Lewellen, Chris Lewellen, Matt Lewellen, Jessica Cole, Katie McAvoy, Caroline McAvoy, Thomas McAvoy, Gillan McAvoy, Hannah McAvoy and Nathan McAvoy; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Cole, Zackary Cole and Finn Lewellen; brothers, Dan (Jan) O'Connell, Dave (Sally) O'Connell, Don O'Connell and Phil (Linda) McGeever; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Daniel O'Connell; mother, Evelyn McGeever; and stepfather, John McGeever. Diane worked for Local #150 in the pension department and was a member of the Local #150 Retirees Club. A memorial service for Diane will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Diane McAvoy to University of Chicago Medicine. My very sincere condolences to the entire McAvoy family. Although I did not know Mrs. McAvoy well, I know how beloved she was and what a loving spirit she was in return. Her presence on this earth made it a better place for many.
