Beloved husband of the late Mary Jane (nee Murphy) Mentzer; loving father of Roger (Marge) Mentzer, Diane (Rick) Dworsky and Nancy (Phil) Sullivan; cherished grandfather of Ryan (Ashley) Sullivan, Timothy (Maggie) Sullivan, and Terry (Molly) Sullivan, proud great-grandfather of Wyatt; dear brother of the late Peg Downs; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Lying in State Thursday, December 7, 2017, from 9:00 a.m., until time of funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Villa, 12220 S. Will Cook Road, Palos Park, IL 60464.
