Laskowski, Walter F. Age 93, beloved husband of the late Charlotte (nee Swierczek); loving father of Richard (Danita) Laskowski and Patricia C. Laskowski; dearest grandfather of Rev. Keith Laskowski (Allentown Diocese) and Paul (Elisabeth) Laskowski; wonderful great-grandfather to Hannah, Blaise and Maura Laskowski; dear brother of Helen (nee Lomec) (Marvin) Cieslak, the late Fran Lomec and the late Joseph (Kay) Lomec. Wally especially loved and was grateful for the loving care provided to him by his nieces, Shirley (William) Duray, Laura (Kirk) Bergmark, Nancy (George) Brown, Mary (Ken) Swierczek and Darlene (Steve) Chang. He was a fond uncle to many additional nieces and nephews and cousins, and a beloved friend to many. Wally, as he was affectionately known, was born October 21, 1918 to the late Frances (nee Golembiewska) and Stanley Laskowski and was cared for by his beloved grandparents, the late Helena and Martin Zalech. Wally was a life-long resident of Summit, Illinois. He was a World War II Veteran and retired from Corn Products after forty-three years of service. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 7240 West 57th Street, Summit, Illinois on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 10 am followed by internment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois, promptly at 1:30pm. Visitation at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 West Archer Avenue (55th Street, just west of Harlem) on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, 3-9pm.
