While our paths have not crossed in many, many years, I remember our pre- and post-college years...always smiling, laughing and having a great time. Time separated us, but the memories of our childhood will last a lifetime. Bill was truly a special guy who will be missed by so many. I'm so sorry for your loss. May his memory be a blessing to you and your family.

So many wonderful memories of our childhood. Christmas Eve, July 4th and one of the best: Family vacation to Lodi Wisconsin and Frank Laterno's Cedar lodge, where poor Billy was stuck in the kids cabin, the only boy, and all the girls. He chose to sleep on the porch despite the cold. I can still see him poking his face out from the sleeping bag.
Love and Condolences from the entire O'Rourke Clan.
You will be missed Billy, give my love to Cathy when you see her.

Bill and I played softball together in the Chicago media league. You couldn't find a better teammate on or off the field. He had a great sense of humor and a vibrant personality. Even when he left the media business, he would make the trek to Grant Park for a night of softball and post-game camaraderie with his pals. He will be missed.

My sister Suzanne told me today about Bill and my heart just sunk. The Hines were our neighbors growing up. In fact, I owed a Basset Hound, whom we just lost, because of the love I had for the Hines Basset Hound Sam, who's memory stuck with me a life time! How I loved Sam when we were growing up and the Hines family. My condolences to you all, as I am sure this is so very hard to take in, and especially at the holidays. Our prayers are with you all. May the Lord give you strength and infinite tenderness.
