Kooyenga, Richard J. "Ringo" Age 73, of Romeoville, formerly of Bolingbrook, at rest December 28, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Teel-Kooyenga and Cheryl (nee Arcuri); loving father of Evelyn (Jerry) Hakl, Vincent (Michele) and Richard Kooyenga; Papa Rich of Dana, Megan, Alex, Andrea, Nicholas and great-grandfather of Dia and Dominick; dearest brother of Dee (Art) Lockman and Vivian (Harold) Stack; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his caregiver Shanna Ritter. Visitation Tuesday, January 2, 2018, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home and Cemetery, 11333 Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Chapel service Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in family lot. He was a hard worker, loving husband, dedicated father, proud grandfather. I only knew Richard for a few years, but during the time that I knew him I learned that he was a very good man and a good friend. He will be missed.
