Muriel Tucker, age 66, of Brackney, Pa. passed away Sunday, July 20th, 2025 after an extended battle with cancer. She never gave up, she fought to her last breath. In her own words she said, “The doctors only gave me 6 months, and I'm still here.’ She believed only God knew the timing and she wasn't going to give up until he called her home.
Muriel was survived by her husband Robert Tucker, her son Wally Slater and her granddaughter Jasmine Slater, all of Brackney, PA. She is also survived by her sister and brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, and cherished friends and neighbors.
She loved life and she loved people. She put everyone and everything above herself. No matter the cause or circumstance she was always there to help. She was also known for never letting a stray cat go uncared for, if she could help it. She loved her kitties.
Muriel had a strong faith which got her through her difficult times and she praised God for her blessings. She was an inspiration to those of us who knew her, she never gave up. She will be deeply missed.
At Muriel's request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for any donations to be made to the American Cancer society.
