Robert “Bob” Howard Beeter, Age 77, went home to be with his Lord on August 25, 2021, with his loving and faithful wife by his side. He was born in Grass Valley, California to Howard and Margaret Beeter on February 25, 1944.
Bob is survived by his wife, Neva Ray Beeter; brothers, Doug Beeter and wife Debbie (Florissant, Colorado), Roger Beeter and wife Nancy (Billings, Montana), and Tim Beeter and wife Sharon (Billings, Montana); sister, Mary Gier and husband Charlie (Castle Rock, Colorado); sisters-in-law, Clara Barker and husband Everett (Spokane Valley, Washington), and Lenda Marshall and husband John (Reynoldsburg, Ohio); along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Margaret Beeter.
Bob graduated from Billings Central Catholic High School, in Billings, Montana in 1962. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve in September 1965, then went to active duty in 1966, serving on the U.S.S. Caliente for 2 years, (New Zealand and Vietnam), with an Honorable Discharge in 1968. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in April 1971, serving for 18 years, (Europe, and numerous places in the states), with an Honorable Discharge/Retirement in April 1989. Bob loved his country and served proudly for 21 years.
He was employed in shipping and supply with Dee Howard Company in San Antonio between 1990 and 1993 and moved to Pleasanton in 1993. Bob accepted and made Jesus his Lord in October 1993. He and his wife, Neva, committed their love and were married on July 2, 1994, in Pleasanton. They were married for 27 years. Bob worked for Pleasanton I.S.D. from 1994 – 1999 as a paraprofessional in the Junior High Computer Lab.
Bob was a devoted member of Pleasanton First Baptist Church. He was involved in the Men’s Sunday School Class, Men’s Bible Study Group, a member of the choir, and in the Senior Adult Program.
Bob was a compassionate and caring person. He loved his family and his church family. He loved his wife very much, not demanding, but allowed her to be herself. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gayland Ashton, Tommy Caraway, James Cox, David Johnson, Richard Porter, and Bob Ulrich.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Funeral Meal Fund at Pleasanton First Baptist Church or the Senior Adult Special Account at Pleasanton First Baptist Church, 400 Reed Street, Pleasanton, Texas 78064.
A visitation for Bob will be on Friday, September 3, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, Pleasanton. A funeral will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 10:00 am, at the First Baptist Church, Pleasanton, with interment to follow on September 8, 2021, at 2:15 pm, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
