I met Roz's daughter Rosanne in 1989. From the first time I met Roz, I always felt welcome at her home, and in no time at all, I felt like family. In the now 32+ years that I knew Roz, I can say that she was my second mother. The memories I have and cherish from her amazing family are priceless. Roz always had a great sense of humor and she never complained about anything. Her greatest joy was in her family. She loved them all unconditionally. The love of her life Carl, left her too early. She was tasked with the job of raising the 6 children, 5 of which ranged in age 5 to 18. With God's help, she did an exemplary job. A few weeks before she left us, I told her that she did an amazing job, and with her typical grace, she merely smiled. She was a classic that will leave a hole in our lives, a void that won't soon, if ever, be filled. God Bless you Roz as he shows you his kingdom.

As a friend of Rachel's since 1977, many of my childhood, teenage and adult memories include Mrs. Schneider. I remember the blue Camaro that she picked Rachel up from school in which later became what I thought was the coolest car ever - her Mazda RX7. She had movie star looks and always greeted us with a smile. Her relationship with Rachel and all of her kids was enviable. She was silly, had a great laugh and created joy. The relationships that our group of friends' moms forged was amazing - we became one family attending each others' showers, weddings and other special occasions. We were blessed to have a group of moms including Mrs. Schneider that we could call family. I know Mrs. Schneider is reuniting with her husband and other family and friends who have gone before her (including my mom). She lived a beautiful life and truly deserves to rest in peace. You will be missed. Say hi to my mom and nannie.
