Mario Angelo “Anjo” Montano Marasigan


Anjo Marasigan passed away at his family’s home on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the age of 47. 


Anjo was born in Manila, Philippines on June 3, 1977. His family immigrated to the United States in March of 1984 and they settled in St. Louis, Missouri, where Anjo spent the majority of his life. Anjo graduated from Marquette High School in 1996 and achieved various degrees from Missouri Baptist University and Fontbonne University. Anjo pursued two distinct career paths: first as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and later as a Cybersecurity Analyst. His passions included storytelling, music, movies, science-fiction, and basketball. 


Anjo was a beloved husband, father, son, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, humility, and dedication to others - especially to his wife, Jackie, their daughter, Jhanna, and their dogs, Kai and Kojin. 


Anjo is survived by his wife, Jackie; his daughter, Jhanna; his parents, Mario and Maria Marasigan; his sister, Cristina and brother-in-law, Blair; his brother, Julian and sister-in-law, Amanda; and his niece and nephew, Siena and Luca. He is also survived by his grandparents, Julian and Nilda Montano, as well as his uncles, aunts, and numerous cousins in the United States and Philippines.


Services: Friends may visit with the family at SCHRADER Funeral Home, 14960 Manchester Road, Ballwin, MO on Wednesday, January 8 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alban Roe Catholic Church, 2001 Shepard Road, Wildwood, MO on Thursday, January 9 at 10:00 a.m. Following the Funeral Mass, Anjo will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 16200 Manchester Road, Wildwood, MO next to his cousin, Carlo Hechanova.
