Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

January 18, 2010

My sincerest sympathies to both families. I was born and raised in Hebbronville and went to school with Nelda. I knew all the Salinas family. In fact, your uncle Frank bought my grandmother's house next door to your grandparents! I was bringing up memories in my mind of over 50 years ago when Nelda was playing basketball. I know your parents involvement in the church brought them much comfort and peace and prepared them for this journey. Again, my sincerest sympathy.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I have known both Pedro & Nelda since late 1981, met them at the Charismatic Center then and later joined them at several healing workshops within the Archdiocese. We went apart when I was called into different ministries in San Antonio/Bexar Co areas. I loved to work with them always.

My Deepest condolences to the family. I met Nelda & Pedro through the prayer group at Our Lady Of Guadaloupe and it was with Nelda's incouragement and faith that I joined the Healing team and also had my first experience in resting in faith with the Lord, I will never forget that most beautiful experience in my life. Their physical body's will be greatly missed here on earth but I know in my heart that the faith that they shared with everyone will be very much present and we will have the chance to reunite with them when it is our turn to go home in glory.

My deepest sympathy to the Palacios family. I was in the same prayer group with Pedro and Nelda. Nelda was alway happy and Pedro was always joking with us. Nelda said she was ready to meet the Lord anytime he called her. They were both beautiful people and very faith filled. They were always ready to be a witness to the Lord and would witness to anyone that they thought needed prayer or healing. Several from the prayer group got together with them on Sunday after Mass and we had breakfast together. We really enjoyed the fellowship. The last Sunday I saw them I was not going to go to have breakfast with them but Nelda said come wtih us at least we can be together and have fellowship. I did go and I am so glad that I went for that is the last time I saw them.
I loved them dearly and I will truly miss them. They are in heaven now and praying for all of us.

I didnt know your parents but after reading the story of thier deaths I feel like I did. What wonderful people and you had the privledge of having them as your parents. You are right one could not be without the other so God took them together. After my Grandmother passed my Grandpa did not know what to do without her and fell into a depression. The lord finally took him home Sept of 2009. They are together again. Like your parents lived happily on earth serving others. Now they are happy in Heaven...My prayers are with your family.

May God Bless all of you and comfort you at the loss of Pedro and Nelda.

Nelda once said, "I love Jesus so much, I am ready to be with him". Also, during morning mass, she was always asking prayers for members of her family and friends.

I met Nelda and Pedro through the Bible Study Group. They will both be missed very much for their knowledge and caring.

May God help heal your sorrow so you can remember and relive the days they were with you and take comfort knowing that they are now in Heaven with Jesus.
