I knew Howard through the Stones River Woodworkers Club. He was not only talented, but also loved talking to others about their projects. He was always very kind and very helpful to me personally and I will miss his friendship. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Howard was an easy friend to talk to about his work of agriculture sales which he did well. Having grown up in Chapel Hill or Eagelville he could give newcomers a shorter route on County roads. He was a genuine Christian who reared a sweet family, he will be so missed.

Howard Vaughn was a wonderful father to three of my favorite people. The legacy he leaves through them is outstanding. I will always remember his kind and gentle nature, his wisdom, and how a good laugh could easily bring him to tears. A life lived for God!

Howard and I go back to classmates at MTSU since 1956. He was my best man at my wedding in 1960. We both served in US Army Reserves 1961/1962 together. He will be greatly missed by many. God rest his soul.
