Francisco Tafoya II Obituary

Francisco Luis Tafoya II, 50, passed away on June 5, 2022, at home in Cedar Creek, Texas. Louie was born in Socorro, New Mexico, to Henrietta and Frank Tafoya on November 25, 1971. He attended Socorro High School. Louie worked in construction with the American Construction Company. He enjoyed working with his hands, creating in leather, carpentry, and mechanics.

Louie is survived by his mother Henrietta, sister Rebekah, “daughter” Shanee, his father Frank, his grandmother Virginia Soto, Aunt Christina Torres and Cousin Jennifer Gonzales. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Arturo Soto, his cousins Kevin Gonzales, Gilbert Hidalgo, Uncle Joseph Tafoya and Alfred Torres.

The family of Louie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the first responders, Bastrop County Sheriff’s Department and Bastrop Providence Funeral Home for all their help in our time of need.

First Visitation will be held from 5pm – 7pm on Friday June 10, 2022 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas

Second Visitation will be at Daniels Funeral Home in Socorro, New Mexico, on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Funeral Mass will be held at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro, New Mexico on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM with 

Recitation of the Holy Rosary prior to Mass at 9:30 AM.

Burial will be in San Miguel Catholic Cemetery
