Frances Allbright Obituary

Frances Lee Woodburn Allbright, 83, from Bulverde, passed away on February 10, 2025 after a long fight with dementia/Alzheimer’s. She was born November 13, 1941 in Ralls, Texas to Owen “Red” Woodburn and Alice Mae Turner.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Allbright Stevens (Kenny), son Adam Allbright, four grandchildren; Colin Stevens (Ashley), Colton Stevens (fiancé Alyssa), Kaleigh Stevens Robinson (Lane), Kristen Stevens, three great-grandchildren; Ellie-Tate Stevens, Millie-Mae Stevens, Knox Stevens, her youngest sibling James Woodburn (Jocelyn) and several nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 59 years Thomas Allbright, her parents Owen “Red” and Alice Woodburn, her brother Kenneth Woodburn and sister Joyce Baugh.

Frances was the 1959 homecoming queen of Refugio High School, graduated with a degree in Education with Science specialty from University of Texas at San Antonio, had been very actively involved in Bulverde Methodist Church in various positions with the UMW and church bazaars over the years and loved watching it grow. She loved plants and flowers and creating many forms of artwork; painting, quilting, sewing, needlepoint, and embroidery.  Doing crafts with her grandkids brought her great joy. Her other passion was cooking desserts. She was known for years for the Christmas candy boxes that were delivered to those lucky enough to receive them.

There will be a simple graveside service later and in lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice of your choice or Bulverde Methodist Church would be wonderful.
