John, I just found out that Beryl died earlier this year. Gordon Bess shared the sad news with me. I am so sorry. Your love for Beryl and her love for you was a great example for Jeanette and me. Take care, my friend.

I wish I'd had more opportunities to know her. To Phil and John, two individuals for whom I have a tremendous respect, I'd imagine that, had I had more chances to chat with your mom/wife, I'd have the same thing to say....tremendous respect. So sorry to hear of her passing. jmm.

I was blessed to know Beryl when we worked together 40 years ago at the St. Louis ARC. She was one of the first people I met when I was hired. I was new to the job as well as new to the city and she always treated me so kindly. We kept in touch over the years with the exchange of our annual Christmas letters and pictures of our families. I treasured the correspondence and will miss her deeply. My condolences to all of Beryl’s family. She was a very special woman. May your memories bring you comfort.

My wonderful coworker and longtime friend —such an amazing woman! I often and fondly remember the “Americanization” of Beryl when she bought her first pair of jeans, her description of learning to drive in a parking lot, her commitment to her job, and her support of all of our staff and programs. Most of all, I will always have a warm smile every time I think of Beryl’s kindness, generosity, gentle personality, and low key humor. I’ll miss you Beryl. Love, Julie
