It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arnold "Sam" Revere, who was called to glory on February 8th, at the age of 77. Born on January 4th, 1948, Sam was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a beloved brother and uncle.
A man of incredible skill, kindness, and integrity, Sam was known by all for his craftsmanship and work ethic. As an accomplished carpenter, he brought warmth and beauty to every home he touched. His skill with his hands was matched only by his generosity of spirit and the joy he found in helping others. Whether it was building something with care or offering a helping hand, Sam always went the extra mile to make those around him feel valued.
An avid outdoorsman, Sam had a deep love for the natural world. His passion for fishing, hunting, and exploring the great outdoors was something he shared with his family and friends. He spent countless hours enjoying the serenity of the woods, lakes, and bayous, always with a story to tell.
But perhaps the most remarkable thing about Sam was his unwavering devotion to his wife, Doris, and his family. As a husband and father, he was a steadfast provider and a pillar of love and support. He taught his children not only the value of hard work, but also the importance of love, kindness, patience, and respect. He was a proud grandfather, relishing in the joy of watching his grandchildren grow, always eager to share his wisdom and adventures with them.
Sam was a loyal and caring brother and uncle, offering his support to all who needed it and always bringing laughter and warmth to family gatherings. His presence will be missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Sam is survived by his wife, Doris, his two daughters Jeanne (Myrio) and Erica (Timothy), six sisters Patricia, Nora (Harold), Maureen, Kay, Fay and Rhea (Irvin), one brother, Bruce, his grandkids, Myrio Jr, Myles, Mya, Cameron, Tyler and Trey, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother (Antonia), father (Hobert), and brothers (Antoine, Hiram, Dexter, and Andre').
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice House of Slidell, in honor of Arnold Revere.
Sam may be gone, but his spirit, kindness, and laughter will remain with us forever.
