Richard Walega Obituary

Walega, Richard S. 75, of Orland Park, IL formerly of Oak Lawn, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 15, 2018. He was the beloved husband of 52 years to Carol; loving father of Cheryl Walega Lewis and Richard Walega; and dear grandfather of Samantha (Aaron) Nelson, Lexi Walega and Ryan Lewis. Richard proudly served as a US Marine, Oak Lawn Police Officer and retired after working over 30 years at KA Steel in Lemont, IL. He enjoyed taking vacations with his wife, Carol and spending time with his family. Visitation Thursday, July 19, 2018 3:00-9:00 p.m. military honors 6:30 p.m. at Orland Funeral Home 9900 W. 143rd St., Orland Park, IL 60462.
