Peter Brian Faulkner

Peter Faulkner Obituary

Our dear Dad, Peter Brian Faulkner, passed away peacefully on February 24th, 2026. He was born June 29th, 1937, to Bill and Dorothy (née McGowan) in Burnaby.

In 1967, Peter married Jill (née Penrice), and they made their home in North Vancouver, not far from where he grew up. His long career with Safeway took him throughout B.C. opening and renovating stores with his crew. Peter loved fishing and the family spent holidays on Cortes and Gabriola Islands. He and Jill square danced with friends and entertained often at their home. They especially enjoyed visiting their holiday home in Arizona.

Peter is lovingly remembered by daughters Lisa (Ian), Cheryl (Bjorn), and Jennifer; grandchildren Ashley, Adam (Brooklyn), Ciara (Curtis), Jared (Caity), Dylan, Wyatt, and several great-grandchildren. In his later years, Peter remarried and is also remembered by his widow, Barb, and her family.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Jill in 1993, twin brother Barry, and eldest brother Bob (Myrna). Heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff at Stanford Seniors Village for the kindness and care given to our Dad.

A private family celebration of life will be held to honour Peter.
