Gene was a gentleman and all around good guy who cared for family members. He was a long time friend of my husband, Thomas G. Riemer. They spent many a time shooting pool in our basement with their mutual friend Al. He joined Tom in heaven as he flew his last flight and “touched the face of God”.

Gene, you surely will be missed. From our friend ship starting as classmates at the University of Illinois till the last few years where we kept in touch through the telephone. We just never seem to get together often enough but did have long telephone chats reminiscing about all those good times we had. Yes, you will be missed. So long good Buddy.

Gene was my very good friend and great travel-buddy! Together we visited every tourist attraction in Arizona one year and then all 5 National Parks in Utah a few years later. We corresponded often, telephoned frequently and saw one another every few years. I shall miss him terribly, but am very grateful to have had his friendship for the past 48 yrs.
