Berls, Frank J. called to reside in Heaven with Our Lord, his Savior, on Sunday, August 13th, while surrounded by his loving family. Welcomed to Heaven by his beloved wife, Dolores (nee Widelski) Berls, his first love and wife, Mary Bernadine (nee McKillop) and his parents, Frank and Eva (nee Kuhl) Berls. Left behind to remember and celebrate Frank's life are his children, Kathleen (James) Coughlin, Karen (Robert) Anderson, and Keith (Debbie) Berls, his wonderful grandchildren, Craig (Jackie), Michael and Christine Coughlin, Jennifer (Anthony) Moyers, Erica (Kreg) Homoky and Larissa Berls, his great-grandchildren, Colin, Katie, Valerie, Mary, Lyn, Cora and Chase, his sister, Lois Brown. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Frank lived his life one day at a time. He was a friend of Bill's and leaves behind hundreds of friends. To remember his life and service to others, we call upon these friends and family members to join us in celebrating Frank's life; bring your stories, your laughter, your tears. Funeral Saturday, 9:15 a.m., from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, to St. Thomas More Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation Thursday and Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. Retired 58 year member of I.B.E.W. Local 134. Memorials may be made to The Guild House or The McDermott Foundation. Frank was one of the nicest guys I have ever known. He was caring, loving and always had a smile on his face. He shared his experience, strength and hope with so many he came to know. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to Frank's family.
