I was shocked and sorry to hear that Jean had died. We were friends at Longwood and in our 20s and 30s. I was in their wedding and always think of them around Sweetest Day October 18th. Our lives took different paths but I never forgot the good old days/ Well this year they can celebrate their anniversary together.Yesterday I got the Longwood Alumnae letter and saw where she had died.I know how she loved her boys and I see she finally got some girls as a grandma Remember the best times when you think of her

I became very close to Jean and Joan living across the street from them in Palos Park. I can remember hearing the Cubs game loud and clear coming from across the street the girls were sitting out front listening to the game on the radio. I would just go over to visit just to see whats up pretty much every day or they would give me a call to change a light bulb or the TV was not working could I fix it, you how those remotes can be trickie, what ever it was they knew they could call me and they did. Jean would let me park my car in the garage in the winter so it was not so cold and I didn't have to scrap it off. R.I.P. Jean now you can smoke and drink all the wine want Love you! It's a relief to finely know you are resting peacefully.
