Dugandzic, Jozo "Joe" Age 73, late of South Chicago, IL, passed away, September 11, 2015 after a courageous battle with lung and colon cancer. He was born in Cerno, Hercegovina in 1941 and came to the United States when he was 21. Loving father of Joe Dugandzic of New Lenox, IL and Sue (Bill) Watkins of Bay Village, OH; cherished grandfather "Dedo" of Anthony, Jimmy, Katie, Patrick and Nevin. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ilija and Luca (nee Primorac) Dugandzic. Dearest brother of Marijan (Anka), Fr. Nikola, Radojka (the late Rade) Planinic, Vida (the late Zvonko) Vucic and Ivan (the late Keti); former husband of Anka (nee Loncar) Dugandzic; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and friend to many. Visitation Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Funeral Monday, September 14, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60617 to Sacred Heart Croatian Catholic Church, 2864 E. 96th Street Chicago, IL 60617. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums, 801 Michigan City Rd., Calumet City, IL 60409. Rest in heavenly peace my dear uncle. You were always near and dear to me..always! You were one of only two people who gave me encouragement and words of wisdom when I needed to hear it most, and I will never forget that.
