Madonna - I miss you so much. I am always coming across a document that has your signature or contains handwritten notes by you. I miss you so much, I miss the talks we would have right around this time when everyone else was going home from work. I will miss the cards at the holidays, the small gift exchanges and all of the other wonderful things you shared not only with me but with others. I miss you so much, beautiful lady.

Dear Flynn-Eggert families, I am so sorry to hear of Madonna's passing. I only learned of it today, when my sister Lovie (who grew up with all of Madonna's siblings) told me of her death. I am heartbroken that I could not have been there for you. May God bless you all. She was a terrific girl!

Madonna was absolutely one of my favorite persons to see in the hallways of GSA or to take a quick break with. She always had a kind smile, a sunny disposition, and words of encouragement. May the family find comfort in good memories of times shared.

I can't believe you are gone. I am glad you know no pain. My gardenias bloomed the day I heard. I believe it was a sign to let me know you are ok. I loved our talks, sharing memories with you. Sometimes it's the little things that people remember, that mean the most. Like, you doing my hair for my 3rd grade picture; you being at my "recitals"; watching you do your nails/set your hair and most recently having you at the graduation. I will forever be grateful for my career, for which you played a part in me starting Civil Service. I am very grateful I had the chance to tell you I love you one last time but even better was you whispering it to me. Until we meet again...Love, Kimmie

Met Madonna in 1972. She was one of my very first friends at GSA. She always knew what to say, always had a smile at the end of a sentence. I am so sad to hear the news of her passing. God speed her to the Pearly Gates. Until we meet again my friend,
