Jorfe, Robert Joseph 58, of Crestwood, died August 30, 2013, after a valiant 18 month battle with throat cancer. Beloved son of Theresa (Rudolph) Unger and the late Robert Jorfe; brother to Jean Marie (Robert) Heniff, and Rita (Claude) Shanklin; uncle to many nieces and nephews; and cousin to many; good friend to John Hinde and Jeff Jarosky. Special thanks to his nurse Violet and caregiver Natasha. A 1973 graduate of Brother Rice High School, where he competed on the wrestling team; served as a proud U.S. Marine; Owner/Operator of the R.J. Transport Co. Bob was a musician, fisherman, sailor, and lover of fine foods; he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends will gather Saturday, September 14 at St. Julie Billiart Church, 7399 W. 159th St. Tinley Park, IL, at 11:15 a.m. for a memorial visitation and Marine Corp Tribute following a noon Funeral Mass. Inurnment will be Tuesday, September 17 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
