Dear Therese and children,
I am heartfully sorry for your loss. Jim's mother and mine worked for Lake Shore Management Company many years ago where Jim also worked as a partime doorman while attending Lane Tech H.S. and later Noretheastern Illionis University. Jim, ever confident, insured gentlemanly behavior by impressively reading Emily Post. We dated and attended each others' prom. I am pleased he pursured his passion for teaching, enriching so many young people with his love for learning science, and math. God bless you.

Please accept my sincere sympathy.
As a former District 130 administrator, I had the privilege of working with Jim. His positive attitude about life set a tone for both the children who attended Hale Middle and the colleagues who worked with him that extends beyond the time that we had together.

I can't even begin to tell you how much Mr. Fred meant to me. I had him in 8th grade at Hale. He was always the best teacher to go to for anything we needed. He gave me a nickname early on he called me Blondie. I used to say but I'm not blonde and he replied u should have been. Lol I lived on Cicero ave and had the vegetable farm. Well after I graduated he came by to always say hi. At the end of my junior year I gave birth to my daughter. Mr Fred came to visit and brought ber the first book and bear. Many years later both of my children had him as well. He was truly the best and we will never forget him He is now an angel looking down on all of us. To his family I'm truly sorry for ur loss.

Mr. Fred was one of my 8th grade teachers. He made attending class fun! He had such a wonderful sense of humor. He was also one of those educators that went the extra mile for his students. He would meet with them after or before school for tutoring. Mr. Fred is definitely one of those teachers that you remember for a lifetime. I have such fond memories of 8th grade at Nathan Hale.
