Today, I am writing to express my deepest sympathy to the family of a Great and Proud Irish American. A man loved by many and will always be remembered as a kind and caring person. A great sadness has befallen us because of our loss; but a great joy is underlying because of the joy and contributions he made to family, friends, and community. Our heartfelt
comfort and prayers go out to Aunt Irene and family. Uncle Jim will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Whenever I think of Mr. Burke, I think of family. He always appeared to be at his happiest when he was with Mrs. Burke, the children and grandchildren. No matter how large their family grew, they always made anyone that stopped by feel like they were the most important member of the family. There was no better way to be greeted then by a hug from Mr. Burke. He will forever be missed, but never forgotten.

Jimmy Burke---"Who wears short shorts?" So many memories. The Duffy-McCormick picnic in Lakewood Forest Preserve which, because of the rain, ended up in the house with lots of shoes at the door, the Blizzard of '79, Bill Duffy cleaning out the Burke Family's refridgerator and being amazed at how many Mayonaise jars were inside, the great dancing and conversations at weddings and family events, his gregarious nature and wonderful big smile - Boy we are going to miss Jim Burke. All our love to Irene and the family. Our prayers are with you. Love From The Kowalski Family - Colleen (Duffy-), Fred (not Ken), Conor, and Max.
