Lopez, Rev. Moises G. Age 77, of Hegewisch, formerly of South Chicago, passed away on July 6, 2012. Moises was a retired aviation police officer for Midway Airport and U.S. Steel Southworks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 296th Infantry. Moises was the pastor of Del Salvador Baptist Church of South Chicago. Moises is survived by children Orpha R. Martinez, Cynthia (Simon) Valdez, Moses A. Lopez, grandchildren Michael, Kevin, Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Matthew, great-grandchildren Jacob, Kayla, Ryan, and Emily. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Lupe Lopez (nee Mendoza). Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2012 from 2-9 p.m. at the Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch, 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL (773-646-1666), and from 8:30 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Eastside Community Baptist Church corner of 107th Ave. and Avenue N. Church Service to commence at 9:30 a.m. with Pastor Ricardo Ayala officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Moises will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
