Stojak, Richard Michael "Dick" Age 71, died Monday, April 23, 2012 in Granbury, Texas. Dick was a 1960 graduate of Quigley Preparatory Seminary North, earned a B.A. in sociology and an M.A. in pastoral studies from Loyola University. He retired from Social Security Administration after 33 years of service, beginning that career as Medicare was enacted. He was ordained a deacon for the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago in 1985 by Cardinal Bernardin and served as deacon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton. In 1998 he was named Family Life Director for the diocese. Dick and his wife Kathy worked together in this ministry with emphasis on sacramental marriage as a relationship. In 1993 he moved to Keller, Texas where he was given faculties in the Catholic Diocese of Ft. Worth and in 2001, he moved to Granbury where he served as deacon at St. Francis Cabrini until his death. Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lauren Zmucki and his parents, Michael and Emilie (Dzierwa) Stojak. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kathleen Joann (Kasmirs); his children, Richard Michael Jr. (Denise), Mary Bernice (Ken) Schneiter, Amy Kathleen Stojak, Andrea JoAnn (Tim) Zmucki and Steven Bernard (Sarah); his grandchildren, Emilie, Nathan, Zach and Olivia Stojak and Julia and Brooke Zmucki and a sister, Camille (Fred) Clavio. Dick's family is requesting memorials in his name to Easter Seals, 212 Barney Dr., Joliet, IL 60435, Catholic Renewal Center, 4305 Bridge St., Ft. Worth, TX 76103 or Covenant Hospice, 3221 Collinsworth St., Suite 160, Ft. Worth, TX 76107. Funeral services will be held Monday, 10:30 am from the O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 1105 E. 9TH ST. (159TH ST.), LOCKPORT to St. Joseph Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood. Visitation Sunday at the funeral home, 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
