Cherished grandfather of James (Jennifer), Christopher, Jade, Jennifer and Eden and great grandfather of Ashley, James, Brooklynn and Jorge. Dear Brother-in-law of Peter (Ha) and Loren Flensborg. James was a WWII Merchant Marine and Korean War USMC Vet. Member of the 1948 Olympic Boxing Team, Former Chicago Police Detective, retired Director of Security for Toys-R-Us, served on the Illinois Crime Commission, Past President of the Illinois Security Chiefs Association and was the Award winning Author of "Three Boys Missing". During his illness he completed the soon to be published memoir "The Last Dance". Funeral Thursday December 23, 11:00 AM from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine to St. Theresa Church for Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment Eden Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 3-9 PM.
