Dear Dennis, Donna, David, Dale, and Douglas,
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have known and loved four generations of the family and to have been a part of it for over a period of forty-five years. Ma was always there to listen to me. She never questioned my motives. She always remembered my birthday and cut and saved stamps for me, wherever I was. I cannot remember Ma ever having said an unkind word to me or to anyone. Ma, like Grandma Brucker before her, was always a most welcoming and loving soul. This is how I shall remember Ma as well.
Ma's passing marks the end of an era; she was literally the last of her breed. All members of the old guard are gone. You are now the generation who will have to lead the Lukaszewski/Brucker family and determine its destiny. Please do it wisely.
