Ellen Wilmouth Obituary
Wilmouth, Ellen Mary (nee Boyle) 85, of Barrington Hills, IL. Born September 30, 1928 in Chicago to John and Catherine "Kitty" Boyle, passed away August 2, 2014, surrounded by her adoring family. She was the beloved wife of Robert K.; loving mother of Dr. Robert J. (Elizabeth), John J., James P. (Soo), Thomas G. Wilmouth and Anne-Marie (Timothy) Kaiser; cherished grandmother of Katie, Maggie, Tess, Grace, Cece, John and Joe; dear sister of Rev. Patrick J. Boyle SJ, Gerald P. (Marna) Boyle, the late James G. (Carol) Boyle, the late Leo F. Boyle and the late Dr. John J. (Donna) Boyle; and fond "Aunt Ellen" to many nieces and nephews. Ellen always placed a great value on both education and service to others. She enjoyed two rewarding professions, first as a registered nurse and then as a counseling and educational psychologist after receiving her Doctorate at the age of 61. The roles Ellen cherished the most though, were her roles as wife, mother and grandmother. Always the caretaker from childhood and throughout her life, Ellen's kind and generous nature, as well as her unwavering faith in God and devotion to her family will be her legacy. She will be deeply missed by those who love her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mundelein Seminary, PO Box 810, Mundelein, IL 60060-0810. Visitation Thursday, August 7, 3:00-9:00 p.m. and Friday, August 8, 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Prayers will begin Friday, 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Mass to follow at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. 847-359-8020 or visit Ellen's memorial at www.smithcorcoran.com.
