Cardelli, Sean Thomas age 20, of Downers Grove, died Wednesday February 1, 2006. Sean was in the USMC and was serving in Iraq. Sometime Wednesday Sean was patrolling the streets and came under rapid fire. He was killed in action outside of Fallujah in support of Iraqi Freedom. Sean was a Private First Class in the United States Marine Corps and served his country proudly. Dear Son of Barbara and John Cardelli; beloved brother of Roxane and Darinda; loving grandson of Marylin and Aldo; proud uncle of DeShawn and Donovan; devoted friend to many. "Lest We Forget". Visitation Wednesday, February 8th, from 2 to 9 p.m., at the Gibbons Elliston Funeral Home, 60 South Grant Street, Hinsdale. Burial Thursday, February 9th, departing from Elliston Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. graveside service at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 4101 South Oak Park Ave., Stickney.
