Sondra,
It is with great sorrow that I just learned of Sid's death. My mother passed on February 8, 2016 so by now they are on a tour of heaven together: Sid pointing out the architecture and Mom telling him how she could repurpose the architectural details. God Bless. I will hold you in my prayers.

Dear Sondra and the Epstein Family,
My deepest condolences on the passing of your dear husband and to the whole family.
I just found out about his passing this morning.
The Richard O. Lober Family has many fond memories of your whole family. Sidney spoke at
my husband Richard's celebration of life
service at the Hinsdale Methodist Church

Sidney always invited me to the "Polish
Mafia" luncheons at the Standard Club each
year. I represented my dear husband who could no longer join us.

On behalf of the Hurvitz family we want to express our deepest and most sincere condolences. Our late Father had the highest regard and utmost respect for Sidney. Sidney hosted an annual luncheon for the contemporaries that worked with him and for him at A. Epstein & Sons. My Dad always looked so forward to attending the luncheon and being with Sidney. I had the pleasure and privilege of knowing Sidney from my teenage years through my adulthood. He was truly a great man. Our best thoughts, prayers and wishes are with you at this time.

Dear Sondra and family -
I am thinking of all of you and also about the far-flung circles of people who are better off--so many!--because of Sid's spirit, focused caring and tremendous generosity. He was giving of both his time and treasure, as they say. He was a dedicated, brilliant thinker about bringing resources, friends and associates to the causes he cared for. He will be deeply missed by his nurtured non-profit communities that benefitted so greatly from his kindness and wisdom.
My deepest condolences.

Dear Sidney Epstein Family,
I am a 87 year old former mechanical contractor who grew up with Sid in the Chicago building industry in the 1950's and 1960's. He was always a decent man with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. It was a privilege to be associated with the Epstein family. Please accept my condolences. I am sorry.
