Mrs. Ebstein was my music teacher! Blessings to your family, and please know that she was important to me. I haven't been inside that classroom for 18 years, but I remember both the room, the music lessons and Mrs. Ebstein.

I only just heard of Mrs. Ebstein's passing. I went looking for her on fb because I had come across an old black and white photo from the 1950's of a group of Jewish children standing around their music teacher as she played the piano for Hannukah. My memories of Mrs. Ebstein are filled with warmth and joyfulness of song. I wanted to write to her and tell her this when I saw the photo. Sending peaceful thoughts to Steven, David, and to all your family.

Mrs. Ebstein was my music teacher at Rodefi Shalom in the 60's and I loved her. She was warm and caring and taught us wonderful music. She worked with Max Janowksi and the children's choir. My condolences to all of you.

If one was to look up the definition of Jewish music teacher in the dictionary, you would see her picture. I worked with her more than 30 years ago and remember her love of children and music. She touched the lives of hundreds and hundreds of Jewish children. Joni Mandel

Roz was my favorite teacher of all time. I met her almost 50 years ago as a wee child and she was partly responsible for the good in me today! I have always loved music and arts 100 percent on her and her amazing music and teaching skills. She will always and forever have a place in my heart.

Bernie, David, Steven and Ellyn, I am so saddened to hear about Roz. I met Roz when I was 5 years old, at Solel. I'll never forget her contagious enthusiasm for Jewish music, and her palpable love for ALL children. When I was 16, she said to me "one day, you're doing to direct this choir", and indeed I did! Roz was my cheerleader in the Jewish music world for much of my life, and it is largely due to her love and encouragement that I became a Jewish musician. The icing on the cake was that through marriage, I was able to also call Roz family. I send you all much love. Roz's memory IS for a blessing. Love, Shawna
