I only found out about Father Stepeks passing today. To his family, I was a parishioner of his at St. Christina's. In 1990 he saved my life. What He did for me I have never forgotten. He truly showed me the compassion, caring, and the love of Christ when I was in a very dark place, he truly made the Church for me a place of refuge and light, for those rejected and those who have no one and no where else to turn. God bless Father for saving me. Donna M

I had the privilege of working alongside Fr. Bob at St. Christina Church back in the 1980's, helping out with the parish Teen Club. He was a warm, loving, caring, generous man who changed so many peoples' lives for the better, including mine. I will always be thankful for the fun times we all spent with him. Rest In Peace, Fr. Bob!

My sister, Carolyn Farmer, I am sure, welcomed her dear friend with open arms in heaven. St Albert The Great was in its glory when Carolyn was the music director and Father Stepek was the the pastor. Their memories will always live on.

I knew Fr. Stepek back when I was a teen at St. Symphorosa, and was a part of the YAC (Youth Activities Committee, and later when he baptized my husband at St. Albert the Great. He was always a friend to everyone, always willing to do whatever he could for you, and he will be sorely missed. I've been reliving memories of those teen years, things that I'd long forgotten. My time in the teen club were always happy; thanks for the memories, Fr. Stepek! See you on the other side, my friend!

Stepek Family
I am so sorry for your loss. Father Stepek I met at St Albert's church. I was bringing a group of handicapped adults to Mass and he came over to them, introducing himself and personally greeting each one. He was kind every time he saw them. Fr. Stepek was good hearted, he went above and beyond being a friend to the group. (Most of the time they are over looked and ignored)
I will remember Fr. Stepek in my Masses and prayers, much respect I have for him. I hope that your good memories carry you thru the difficult times ahead.

What a great guy. I knew him back at St. Symphorosa Church. He was great with the teen groups and later when I was in collage he went with me downtown to the art museum to work on a paper for one of my college classes. We had a blast. RIP Fr. Stepek

Gonna be missed for sure. Married my wife and I in the 80's. Baptized our children.
Married my wife's sister and baptized her children. All after expediting their conversion from Greek Orthodox to Roman Catholic. Very funny guy who drove a black trans am with his name on the plate. Definitely brought people back to church.
Our condolences to the family,

Fr. Stepek was a terrific priest. I will always be grateful for how he presented my father's eulogy with passion, humor and love, while he was at St. Joseph's Parish. Fr. Bob was an example of what a parish priest should be.
Now he has a skybox in Heaven for all of the Sox games!

My deepest sympathy to the Stepek Family. I was shocked to learn of Father Bob's sudden passing. Father Bob was a great comfort to me and my family when my father was terminally ill. He was a wonderful man and inspirational spiritual leader who served St Albert and the City of Burbank well; with dignity and grace. May he forever rest in peace.
