Gass, Paul Eugene 80, of Anderson, passed away January 29, 2016 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on September 9, 1935 in Harrisburg, Illinois. He retired as a Tool and Die Maker for Illinois Tool Works. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Lemont, IL and attended locally at Park Place Church of God in Anderson. Paul is survived by his loving spouse, Donice (Goodrick) Gass of Anderson, IN; 3 daughters, Carrie (Tom) Doyle of Manhattan, IL, Vicki Gass of Joliet, IL, and Tricia (Ed) Krejca of Peotone, IL; stepdaughter, Penny (Tim) Hopper of Peotone, IL; stepson, Ricky (Debbie) Newton of Wheatfield, IN; stepdaughter, Sandra (Alan) Overstreet of Anderson, IN; stepson, Scott (Tammie) Mink of Dodge City, KS; 20 grandchildren, Rick Levand, Randy Levand, Amber Russell, Christine Agosto, Cassidy Krejca, Jennifer Hoffman, Rick Newton, Ashley Rose Newton, Dave Moses, Sara Moses Sharp, Dan Moses, Carol Moses Scrivens, Kate Moses, Sam Moses, Hannah Overstreet, Caleb Overstreet, Morgan Mink, Paige Mink, Michaela Mink, and Madison Mink; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father, Walter Gass; mother, Ethel Cora Gass; 2 daughters, Sandra Gass and Beth Ann Levand; sister, Mary Jones; sister, Ursa Hart; brother, Robert Gass; sister, Wanda Chaffin; sister, Lois Bruce. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2016, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Park Place Church of God, 501 College Drive, Anderson, IN., with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor David Markle. Additional visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., February 13, 2016 at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 Wolf Road, Mokena, IL 60448. Additional Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., February 13, 2016 at Vandenberg Funeral Home.
