Dear Mary Kay and family,
So sorry for your loss. Mike was a great guy with a heart of gold. Never said "no" to anyone in need.
I know that he is resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord.
Blessings to all.

Mike was one of the last great car guys around. I was fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him for that very reason through his son, Eric. Mechanical minds are truly something to behold. The love for a gas-powered machine is something that only few people can know and understand---even fewer that can truly love it. I was fortunate enough to be graced by a handful of people like Mike in my life, and they've largely helped shape the person I have become to some degree. I always enjoyed the open-minded approach Mike brought to the garage. Too often you see the old school car guys frowning upon the newer trends of today, but that was never him--never his style. A deep appreciation for the old school, and a powerful respect for the new school is the best description I can give you when it comes down to the things we had ever BS'd about. I see a lot of the great characteristics of Mike in his son Eric, so I have no doubt that the torch has been passed on to keep the great "car guys" alive to see another generation. I never knew what a Plymouth Volare was before I met Mike, but I can sure tell you one thing---I will never forget what it is now. That car was his trademark, no doubt.
I have no doubt he is in a better place now---off to the land of no speed limits and burnouts, where gas costs less than a buck and your tires always have tread, and a place like Summit is never more than a 5 minute ride away. We'll be thinking of you every time we fiddle around in the garage with somebody's car, Mike. Sandy will surely keep your seat warm for ya. You will be sorely missed, and my condolences go out to the entire family.
Keep it under 100 up there, pal. See you around.
